Riveting mysteries. Be prepared to travel in your mind and be so immersed you won't want to put it down.
I couldn't put this book down. If kept me wondering what will happen next. I would watch a movie if they make one.
I could not put Recluse down! I've read several of Cleves books and live the David Winter series! Good job CLEVE, keep them coming!
Winter's writing left me wishing the book wouldn't end, and ready to read more of his work. The story itself was not without its (minor) problems, but overall, a big thumbs up.
I just completed the second David Winter mystery and I loved it. Murder mysteries and hard-boiled dectiectives are my favorites and this book has all of that in spades. The action moves fast and furious, the characters are well-written and about the time you think you have everything figured out, a twist coming flying around the corner. I think Recluse is my favorite character in this book (sometimes even more than David). I can't decide if he's a good bad guy or a bad good guy; he's that complicated and that well written. If you haven't read either of the David Winter mysteries, pick them up. They don't have to be read in order but are definitely more enjoyable that way. Happy reading.
WOW! Simply WOW!!! I thought Fly Paper Soup was awesome, But this Kicks Ass! Spoiler alert!!! New characters...a man from China that had me in stitches; a Native American Cherokee who gives the old man Winter support...and a surprise ending...was that wedding bells? Recluse picks up right where he left off in Fly Paper Soup and sent chills down my back. Love it, Love it , Love it!!!!
Good read........plan on reading more by this author.
